The Music Spot
Many of the students that begin lessons with me are entirely new to music making. I am here to help set you up for success in learning your new instrument for years to come. Some of my other students have taken a break from their childhood instrument only to return to it many years later. I am here to brush the cobwebs off and review the necessary material to get you back on track. Other students come to me with several years of experience. If you're simply looking to refine your skills, I can work with you to fine-tune your technique and musicianship to create a professional performance suitable for any audition. Violin
While the violin is known for being a tricky instrument, I will be able to bring to light some of the common misconceptions. Whether you're interested in the classical method or whether you want to learn celtic fiddle music, I can help you improve on your style and technique. You will soon be able to play a variety of songs and pieces with my help.
Piano
The piano is such a rewarding instrument partly because you can accompany your melodic lines with your other hand. I can help you achieve a solid piano technique incorporating an excellent understanding of rhythm, notation, phrasing and voicing.
